“This unforgettable B&B in the historic Abram Dillingham House, a Greek Revival circa 1841, welcomes you for an idyllic stay, fulfilling the heartfelt pledge of innkeepers Kim and Tim McIntyre to ‘make our home your home.’ Their inspiration is evident in all seven guest rooms, particularly the second floor, high-end ‘Chapoquoit’ with its king-size four-poster bed, storybook garden view and heirloom antiques. ‘The Captain’s Quarters,’ warmed by a gas-jet fireplace on cooler nights, has enough nautical décor to send you on a schooner voyager to your innermost horizon. Find the secret oven in the parlor and climb the extra-tall thieves step on themain staircase. Then look forward each morning to scrumptious entrees like lemon pancakes and crème brûlée French toast.”

“This Quaker homestead, one of the first 26 built in Falmouth, is set on 3 ½ acres a couple of miles from the village center. It features a deep backyard complete with a gazebo and maturing gardens. The helpful innkeepers, Kim and Tim McIntyre, offer five rooms in the main house and two cozy cottage rooms in a separate building. Each of the latter has a queen bed, TV/VCR, refrigerator, sitting area, and gas fireplace. Of those, I like Captain’s Quarters, which is very nautical in design. Back in the main house, the guest rooms are spacious and comfortably decorated with quilts and local artwork. The rooms were redecorated in 2007. A full breakfast—perhaps lemon pancakes stuffed with cream cheese and Tim’s homemade granola—is served café-style on white linen tablecloths in their sunlit breakfast room. The inn is less than half a mile from Chapoquoit Beach; complimentary bicycles, beach towels and chairs, and tennis equipment are available.”

“Four-poster beds, elegant bedcoverings, and garden views fill the rooms at this cozy B&B in a 1739 former Quaker homestead surrounded by woodland and flower beds. Owners Kim and Tim McIntyre (she's a former marketing exec, he's a landscape designer) have furnished their inn with antiques and other family heirlooms. In the sunny breakfast room, which opens to the deck, you might find lemon pancakes or crème brûlée French toast. The sands of Chapoquoit Beach are a short 10-minute walk away. Pros: Walk to beach (beach chairs and towels available), nearby public tennis courts (innkeepers will provide tennis rackets), intimate and elegant lodging in historic property. Cons: Not an in-town location, but several amenities nearby.”
