Vibrant and charming, Falmouth's Main Street is the place to stroll, shop and dine. Enjoy the activities and entertainment that make the heart of our historic seaside community a favorite of both visitors and residents.

   Steps from the New England-style village green, this attractive downtown thoroughfare is made for walking. Encounter one-of-a-kind boutiques, art galleries, delightful tea, coffee and homemade ice cream shops along side the stores and services of our welcoming local merchants. Main Street is home to "restaurant row" with its wide variety of cuisines.

  Main Street attractions include our Tuesday Art Market, popular Thursday Farmer's Market, Friday night free concerts and Wednesday outdoor movies in the park. Street fairs, local parades and special events like the 32nd Annual Arts and Crafts Festival on July 14 take place here.

CLOC in 42nd Season

Not to be missed is Cape Cod's College Light Opera Company - one of the top summer stock companies in America. Performing nine different productions of Broadway musicals and classic operettas in Falmouth's historic Highfield Theatre, the company gives young talent a chance to begin a career in music theatre. The professionalism of the productions keeps attendance at near capacity all season.

  The talented singers, orchestra members and technicians, selected from colleges and universities around the country, reside around the corner from Chapoquoit Inn in a West Falmouth country estate. On a walk to the beach, you may hear them rehearsing next week's show.
