Meet Your Innkeepers
Kim and Tim McIntyre share their enthusiasm for “the Cape” and the treasures it offers to the first-time or return visitor.

Kim, a former marketing executive, literally went around the world and came home to Falmouth. While living in New York, California, Tokyo and Texas, she summered every year with her grandparents by Falmouth Harbor. She and Tim, an award-winning landscape professional with a degree in Forestry, were married in the Congregational Church on the Village Green 16 years ago. Ten years ago they realized a dream when they opened Chapoquoit Inn. Rather than a business, they say it's a lifestyle, and they love it!"

We take a genuine interest in our guests and will do all we can to make your stay with us enjoyable. It is our pleasure to help you plan and arrange the vacation, respite or event you seek. We look forward to welcoming you home again and again.

The Inn

Surrounded by serene byways, scenic seaside vistas and charming structures dating back centuries, Chapoquoit Inn is itself a blend of old and new. You can relax with the comforts of today, seemingly far from the hustle and bustle of modern life, but with conveniences readily accessible.

Originally built in 1739, the homestead at 495 West Falmouth Highway was given as a wedding present to Abram and Lydia Dillingham by Abram’s father Joseph. Circa 1841, Abram added on to his grandfather’s 18th century house to create much of what is known today as Chapoquoit Inn.

This Greek Revival style home played many roles throughout its history. A common theme is that it was a “home” that welcomed guests—a guest house, a boarding house, and with the addition of four new rooms in 1986, a modern bed and breakfast. With its historic details and three-and-a-half acres of gardens and woods, the Inn retains its timeless charm.

Common Areas

Living Room
Our spacious, comfortable living room is in the oldest part of the house. The fireplace, bay window and Dutch oven add to its old world charm. Guests can find a pleasant place to read, relax, or visit with other guests or neighboring friends and relatives. Cable TV is located here. Intimate weddings have been held here. Family reunions, weekending alumni groups and small business meetings have all used the living room to meet their unique needs.
Breakfast Room
Each day, enjoy a gourmet breakfast in our sunlit, café-style breakfast room. Guests are also welcome to bring in take-out items to have lunch or dinner at home. A small refrigerator is located here. With whole-house bookings, the room can be reconfigured to your needs and caterers’ references supplied.

Deck
Enjoy an early cup of coffee, catch a few rays, read your newspaper, watch the birds and bunnies, smell the flowers. Our backyard deck overlooks the garden and woods beyond. It has been the site of birthday parties, bridal and baby showers, and an intimate wedding reception.

Porch
The rocking chairs on our front porch overlook idyllic Oyster Pond and its resident swans and and great blue heron.

Grounds
Situated on over three acres, the Inn is surrounded by a splendid array of seasonal flowers. Mature shade trees and wooded paths complement the sunny gardens.

Gazebo
The attractive gazebo is a favorite place to read, doze after a day on the go, or commune with nature or friends.
